My 1st time SNOW SHOWER

yesterday v saw MSN weather forecast , it said tat today will have flurry . v doubted the forecast though . i dun have the initiative to wake up early too since i slept at 3am . this morning , i woke up n saw my clock showing 9 . then , with doubtful thought i walked to the window open the curtain ........... SNOW !! SNOW!! first time i see the snow shower from the sky . whereas last few times i only saw tat the snow r died on floor n quite thick . i quickly jumped down to the living room n told my fren , kathy . she was watching anime n without notice tat it's snowing now . she was excited n shouted her mom n vivian to wake up n have a look at the scenery . i went to my frens' room n wake them up . tat moment , everybody is damn excited . v have been told tat it may not b snow this year . coz last year there is no snow n the snow came late during spring in May . v felt so lucky . my frens changed clothes n wore scarf to take photo outside . but the snow shower for around 30 mins . although it mayb another snow , v still feel lucky tat the snow came early this year n v managed to enjoy the 1st view of snow in our 1st winter in uk . it's quite meaningful . i think it symbolizes good fortune . mayb global economy will have a positive progression .

Ashford Outlet Stores on 15th Nov 2008

my frens n i went to Ashford Outlet Stores on saturday to look for some winter clothing . most of the stuff are selling in outlet price instead of retail price .... so it's quite cheap comparing to other place ....the whole place is in a circle form ... v actually took a few hours to finish shopping one round ... and for the second round v will start buying things tat v need ...after sending up 4 assessments n finished a test , i felt much relieved .... this whole week was like endless assessments ... every nite rushing for assessment till friday .... even my fren said tat i got eye bags ... although i dun think i have put enough effort on it , i felt tired n sleepy all the time ....

v took about 4 hours to reach Nottingham from Canterbury ... it's a union of malaysian students in uk ...

Movie night - Quantum Of Solace

Another 1st time in UK .... first movie tat i watched is Quantum Of Solace 007 in ODEON ... i think it is the oni cinema in town ... bside tat , my uni does have a movie theatre... v usually have lecture in there .. so i doesn't feel like going there for movie ... it will much like having lecture in tat theatre ...honestly i think i prefer GSC or TGV in malaysia ... it's comfortable n clean .... in addition , the screen is big enough as to fit in the theatre .... as in ODEON , the movie theatre is kinda big but the screen is damn small compare to the size of the theatre ...there's oni 2 screens in the cinema .. oh my god ... one thing i really dislike is the interior of the theatre... the wall n the ceiling make it looks kinda creepy .. i can feel like i m in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA...there's ugly chandelier... mayb i m too sleepy n tired (having class from 9am to 5pm --> society meeting --> walking some distance from bus stop to home)... i cannot understand wat's going on in the movie .... or it's jus simply bored ... i even fell asleep for a while when i m trying to concentrate on the conversation by closing my eyes .... and i not really get used when the movie is without subtitles ... i like to read the subtitles no matter wat drama or movie i watch (including mandarin n cantonese).... hey OLGA KURYLENKO is damn hot in this 007 movie .... she is tall n her skin is tanned ...

Halloween Night 31th of Oct

first time celebrating Halloween ... kinda scary seeing everybody wearing costumes such as vampire , ghost , mummy , devil , cat woman , angel ,....... i found it quite interesting tat a guy imitate Jesus Christ .... i went to THE VENUE .... it was awesome ... although it was kinda early tat time , everyone dressed up in their best costumes .... when walking back on the street , i saw ppl in their scary costume n make up ... i have a sudden coldness tat i felt as if i was walking in a ghost town ... i m the oni one in the normal clothing .... when back at home , my frens are having party too ... but they dun wear costume ... they were having feast ... tat's great ... n drinking vodka n whisky too ... n then they were staying overnite at our house .... for the next year halloween , i will think of any costume i m going to wear ... by the way , there were children in costume knocked our door to TRICK-A-TREAT .... actually i m kinda scared coz their make up really frightened me .... v gotta prepare more candies to spare ....

Changing Weather

It is a sudden cold day ..... v found tat the weather will b very cold this week .... and the temperature will b around -1 to 8 degree celcius .... and my fren told us tat london will b having snow tonight .... besides tat , the wind will b blowing to south ... tat means tomorro when v wake up , v mayb will c snow everywhere ..... i m anticipating .... but i need more clothes now ..... my hands were freezing cold yesterday when walking to NANDO's .... the sky bcomes very dark at 5pm ... perhaps v still cant get used to it ... the sky is s dark s the sky at 7pm in msia .... no night life ........ wat can v do ? stay at home watch drama ..... n this friday will b halloween ............

My Weekend

Dover Trip on 11th Oct 2008
Another weekend again … I almost have the same routine everyday … wake up at 7.30am à eat breakfast à preparing for class à during class à back home à dinner à sometimes do homework à sleep … this is wat I do everyday … finally weekend comes … actually v hav no planning at all … our seniors bring us around … No internet access at home really cause a lot of inconvenience …I have to spend my 1 hour break wisely everytime … precious 1 hour break … v can stay in the computer room … It’s a 40 mins trip from Canterbury to Dover which is a port nearby Europe … actually v thought of going to paris but the time for the ferry is fixed … V visited the DOVER MUSEUM and DOVER CASTLE … the insight of the castle doesn’t seems like fascinating compare to its outside view … it’s only stone wall n steep staircase inside the castle … whereas the outdoor view is one of my favourite scenery since I came to UK … v finally saw the sea !! hehe … and v spent almost 35 mins walking to the WHITE CLIFF where v initially have no idea how to go there … this is a wonderful place … perhaps I was too exhausted walking n walking non stop for almost 3 hours , I kinda lack of interest … but still I was impressed by the scenery … hehe … and finally v have taste the KFC in UK … erm …… I preferred KFC in Malaysia … much tastier … there’s no smashed potatoes here … they have baked beans or the gravy of the smashed potatoes … now the input(KFC) = output (walking for more than 3 hours)… haiz …. On diet next time la… this is wat I think … haha …. V reached home around 9 something …. VERY EXHAUSTED !!!

Margate Trip on 12th Oct 2008
Okay … actually v were very exhausted due to yesterday one day trip … today I got a message from tiffany asking about going to MARGATE for shopping in PRIMARK ( selling very cheap clothes) … wat a great temptation … hehe … v all decided to went there lo… hehe …. V spent about 45 mins in the bus … wat v r thinking about r the cheap clothes … luckily v have the unirider which v can go to any place in EAST KENT for free … great deal !!! v shopped till it closed … haha .. this is always wat v did ( coz al the shops closed s early s 5pm everyday ) then v ate SUBWAY sandwiches … I preferred SUBWAY in Malaysia … haha … although it’s quite tasty here … after tat v went to hav a walk at the beach …

My 20th Birthday

This is the first time tat I celebrate my birthday in oversea … it was a long long day especially it’s Sunday … v dun have any place to go besides the City Centre where v go there almost 5 days per week …. Although v always visit this place , I still get confused with the shops there …. N my uni too …. I really have no sense of direction …. Whenever I dunno which way to go , I will simply walk till I saw a place tat I wanna go ……. Haha …. Keep exploring n keep discovering …. Since I din go out today ,Vivian and I did the vacuum job n cleaned the toilet as well (Vivian did most of the hard chores.. good gal!!!)after tat, I stayed inside my room almost the whole day watching movie (‘Old School’- very funny movie about sex) & Animation(‘Lovely Complex’-about a tall gal fall in love with a short guy).. my frens felt very strange tat I did not appear in the living room …. Haha…. I thought my birthday will b s usual s the weekend life ….. my new fren Sabrina (with Vivian and CY) made a chocolate birthday cake … it’s yummy .. n I ate 2 pieces …It has been a long long time I ever eat a cake .. everytime I go to the Rutherford College to take lunch , I saw cakes ……. I dunno wat type of cake but it looked very delicious …… hohoho finally I can eat a cake today …. Felt so satisfied ….. I wonder how they made it ……hehe…and v had our dessert too … Sabrina cooked it …. It’s potato with ginger “tong sui”… and v ate curry chicken too ……a taste of Malaysian food ……..i feel so contented … haha …. Although v r far from our home country , I felt contented tat v still can taste some of the Malaysian food sometimes …..the most surprised event is tat they put the candle deep down the cake n asked me to use my mouth to pick it up…. Actually I was thinking tat they wont do anything to me coz the cake is very precious n al of us r looking forward to eat it …. Eventually they did pushed my head n my whole face cover with the sugar n chocolate powder ( which they placed on top of the cake) ….. I have to admit tat I’m too careless .. hehe ….(mayb I keep thinking to eat tat cake) … hehe …. I WANNA THANKS TO MY FRENS , VIVIAN (making the cake and wedges ), KATHY (pc karaoke) , PHEI SZEE (curry) , YEAN ZHENQ (did the cooking) , SABRINA (cake, dessert & chrysanthemum tea) & Cheng Yuen (mysterious gift) FOR CREATING SUCH A MEMORABLE 1ST OVERSEA BIRTHDAY !!! It’s a tired day ….it’s 12am something now .. gonna sleep …. Tomorrow will b the start of my second week uni life ……….

New Life

It’s about 2 weeks since I came to UK . I started to adapt to the life in UK but not the University life . I din actually join any of the club or society coz I can’t get transport to travel to uni at night . Most of the activities are hold at night . And I can’t actually get into the subjects tat I have here . Most of the reason is tat I din take further maths and eco during A- level . There’s a lot of students from China in my class . And the students in uk are very active . They like to ask question in the lecture . And they also seems like did a lot of revision everyday . everyone seems to b very hardworking . I’m still in the mood of holidaying now . Have to wake up la !!! I feel very tired n sleepy every night n I sleep early everyday too… My life really change a lot … and I have to force myself to wake up everyday . and the timetable is so packed . sometimes I dun even know I have class . For instance , the Algebra lecturer cancelled the class on Tuesday 4pm but he sent a mail at 2pm to inform us there’s class at 4pm . oh my god !!! Who else will check the mail at 2 pm ?! It’s really a disaster tat my house still dun have internet access . I feel like I have been left out from the real world . I dun even know a bout anything from my home country and also my family , frens and relatives . It’s very hard to contact them . Luckily I bought a skype phone tat can talk to them when they online . Some how I cant use it coz usually I will b having class when everybody is online . wat I can do is to access to the internet whenever I have an hour break . I really miss the food in Malaysia . prawn mee , pan mee , laksa, curry chicken , nasi lemak , ………………etc ……one thing tat I really like to live in Malaysia is the food . hahahaha… I can even get to taste food from different countries too such as Korean (bbq chicken is yummy!!!!!!!), Japanese , Italian ………. Most importantly it is cheap too ……. The food in uk is very expensive …. Although the raw food “sounds” cheap (around 1.50pound for small pack of vegetables) , it’s quite expensive in Malaysia lo……. I try not to compare the price ….. but it’s impossible currently at this stage . I have a sudden feel like I will prefer to stay in Malaysia to study for anything ….. haha…. Coz everything is convenient in malaysia …… It’s easy to get a meal or anything to eat …… I cant find any place to have supper here ……. I mean some place like mamak stall la n I miss the time tat v yum cha together at night…..some more I eat bread everyday too ….. N the most common food I can find here is sandwiches …. No doubt the sandwiches here r quite delicious ……. But currently I found tat there’s small variety of food ….. Perhaps v will have some fun over here too ..fun due to our mistakes…… pouring too much salt in vege , wash my clothes in washing machines without soap ,…… life without parents assisting will b a disaster ….. but this is the time for us to learn to b independent …..
